Just when you thought it was safe...

...to fly over Lebanon.
While I am looking for the SA-2 I started this discussion on TMP.

While I have not found the SA-2 (yet) there are plenty on air defense assets to use in Lebanon. From QRF. http://quickreactionforce.co.uk/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=440_496_497_499

Just watch out Mark.

  2. yep just in time for Halloween.

It is in the Vally. Looks like the ground hogs (or engineers) have been busy. I am wondering if you can see these types of SAM batteries on Google Earth?

  3. I don't think the Syrians ever deployed SA-2s in Lebanon. The picture is of an SA-6.

If you want to see what (current) Syrian air defences look like on Google Earth, try http://geimint.blogspot.com/2007/09/syrian-sam-network.html
