Egyptian T-55s for Operation Raviv

Here we have a platoon of Egyptian T-55s heading south towards the reported IDF landings on the west side of the Gulf of Suez. What will they find?

The tanks were done in Dark Sand (Vallejo) and washed with Games Workshop Devlan Mud.  My references for the period have Egyptian tanks done in a solid pattern but a recent parade picture shows darker brown stripes. I may end up doing my next platoon in those alternate colors.

Tanks are from QRF, bought through Scale Creep.

  1. The Devlan Mud looks nice on a tank. I'll have to try it. I've tried it on figures and not been pleased. I think those tanks are in for a rude surprise though.

  2. I think so as well. They need more friends, and a little mobile AAA. If not your A-4s will have a free time. I was even looking at the ZSU-57 or ZSU-23-4. As they were both used in the War of Attrition they seem appropriate.

  3. erg the old QRF T-55, Good paint job, but I'd really suggest picking up the skytrex offering, QRF one is not a nice model.
